Business Support Administrator 

Role: Part-time (Wednesday to Friday)

Location: Exeter, Devon

Salary: up to £24,000 , pro rata

The Company:

Red One is the UK’s leading provider of fire and rescue training, providing a wide selection of courses at their state-of-the-art Academy.  Services are offered nationwide, as well as providing international and commercial clients with industry accredited standards of fire behaviour and specialist rescue instruction.

The Role:

We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Business Support Administrator to join our growing team, here at our Head Office in Exeter. The successful candidate will provide full administrative support to all areas of Red One Limited as the need arises.

The role is on a job share basis and is busy and varied, providing an opportunity to develop your skills further.

Duties include but are not limited to:

General Administration

You will be the first point of contact for all our customer and general enquires; processing of incoming and outgoing post; administering our internal systems and databases; maintaining records; minute taking in meeting; processing vehicle defects as well as arranging MOTS, servicing and insurance.

Course Administration: Facilitating end to end administration for the provision of all our training courses.  The successful candidate will monitor and record all incoming orders, forms and relevant course documentation.  Liaising with our course instructors and processing bookings/cancellations.

A key part of this role is liaising with the awarding bodies for the courses that we run securing venues.  As well as room booking and equipment, ensuring that the course instructors have everything the need to run the course effectively.  Following course completion to issue certificates and to resolve any queries that may arise.  There is also an opportunity to be involved in the customer liaison and marketing by supporting with sales and contacting existing and potential customers.

Finance Administration: You will provide support to the finance team by raising purchasing orders, checking invoices, creating customer and supplier accounts on our internal systems, and raising invoices.  There will also be a requirement to support with contacting those with outstanding invoices.

The Person:

As the first point of contact for our customers it is essential that you have excellent communication skills, both written and verbal. In addition, strong literacy and numeracy skills are required. 

Due to the role being varied in nature, the ability to multitask is essential, as well being someone who enjoys working in a dynamic and changing environment. Engaging with staff at all levels you will be professional in your approach and will enjoy working as part of a team.

Some experience of working in a commercial sensitive environment would be advantageous but not essential.
