Location: Barnstaple, Devon
Torridge Occupational Medical Services has been providing occupational health services to a wide range of industry sectors and local authorities for over 20 years, including workplace assessments and return to work support, statutory medical examinations, health screening and psychotherapy. Our team is at the heart of our business, and we are looking for a friendly and positive professional to join our administration team.
We are seeking an organised and client-focused individual to assist in the maintenance of the smooth running of our clinical administration activities – from supporting the wider team with appointment administration and monitoring stock levels of stationery and ancillary medical items, to ensuring all company records and appointment calendars are kept up-to-date. When in contact with clients and suppliers, you’ll deliver excellent levels of customer service and respond to all telephone and email enquiries in a professional and courteous manner. With a helpful and proactive nature, you will assist the wider team to ensure they have all they need to run their clinical appointments, preparing case files and equipment ahead of appointments and transcribing notes to prepare follow-up reports afterwards.
Being a people person, you’ll have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, able to relate to individuals at all levels and always acting with tact and diplomacy. You enjoy working in a team, but understand the need to uphold professional standards, acting within the boundaries of clinical confidentiality at all times. You take pride in your work, and are happy to learn and take instruction. Known for your outstanding organisational and administration skills, you have the ability to prioritise, multi-task and solve problems in a calm and methodical manner along with a keen eye for detail. With good literacy, numeracy and IT skills, you have a sound working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel.
Experience within a clinical setting would be advantageous, but not essential – exceptional administration skills, an eagerness to learn and a good team spirit are more important.
In return, we offer a competitive salary and holiday package, pension scheme, and the opportunity to make a real difference as part of a small, friendly and well-respected local business, with a strong regional presence.
