Job Type: Part time, permanent

Working pattern: Minimum of 2 shifts/10 hours per week including weekend work.  Cover for colleagues during leave.  Increasing to up to full time hours during school holidays

Salary: £5.72-£8.36 per hour (from 1st April) + tips

The Role:

We’re seeking an enthusiastic and customer focused individual to join our friendly and growing team. Delivering excellent standards of customer service, you will greet and assist customers and create an enjoyable shopping experience with a cheerful, confident and helpful attitude.  You’ll deliver quality hospitality skills – taking orders, serving customers & recommending produce including items to meet special dietary requirements.  In addition to providing an excellent customer service, you’ll be responsible for making drinks, preparing and packaging produce and carrying out cleaning duties as needed. With a flexible approach to work, you’ll be able to multi-task and prioritise your workload effectively with a desire to learn.  

The Person:

With recent experience in a front of house role, you’ll be a people person and team player with a desire to deliver excellent standards of customer service. Able to work calmly and professionally under pressure in a busy environment especially during periods of high customer volume to maintain the company’s quality standards.  You’ll have a good sense of humour and a passion for local food and drink. With some sales experience, you will have the ability to communicate with a wide range of people at all levels. You will have a good understanding of food hygiene and dietary requirements.  A good standard of numeracy and IT skills are essential.

You’ll also need to be available to work a range of shift patterns, including weekends and due to the sale of some age-restricted products, the successful candidate will need to be at least 16 years of age.
