Job type: Seasonal (6 months) - April to September inc
Working pattern: Minimum of 8 shifts and maximum of 20 shifts monthly (weekday and weekend working) plus cover for colleagues during leave periods.  Increasing to full time hours during the school holidays subject to the weather.   
Variation: Beach hut opening is weather dependent so shifts may have to be cancelled or transferred to the Instow deli and café 
Salary: £7.03-£8.35 per hour (from 1st April) + tips

The Role:
We’re seeking friendly, enthusiastic and customer-focused individuals to work for the season in our beach hut deli and Instow store cafe. Delivering excellent standards of customer service, you will greet and assist customers and create an enjoyable shopping experience with a friendly and helpful attitude.  
Competent in producing high volume and quality coffees from whole bean, you’ll provide a quality food and drink offering consistently for all customers by adhering to all recipe, presentation and standards.  You’ll deliver quality hospitality skills – taking orders, serving customers & recommending produce including items to meet special dietary requirements.  In addition will be responsible for merchandising produce, stocking display units and carrying out stock rotation. You’ll be able to multi-task and prioritise your workload and will be responsible for stock taking, placing orders with suppliers, reconciling deliveries and ensuring the accurate processing of goods purchased using an EPOS system.  Accountability for meeting all HACCP and food safety procedures forms an essential part of this role. Cleaning is part of all job roles in the company.  
You’ll need to be available to work a range of shift patterns, including weekends and due to some lone working, the role requires someone aged 18 or above.  Annual leave during school holidays are not permitted in this seasonal contract due to them being the peak season of trading.
The Person:
With recent experience in a front of house role, you’ll be a people person and team player with a desire to deliver excellent standards of customer service. In view of some lone working, self-motivation and being a completer/finisher must be essential attributes.  Able to work calmly and professionally under pressure in a busy environment especially during periods of high customer volume or unexpected events to maintain the company’s quality standards.  You will have a great sense of humour and the ability to work flexibly and methodically. With a proactive approach to your work, you will communicate confidently with a wide range of people at all levels and will have a strong numeracy, IT and stock control/ordering skills.  A passion for food & drink is essential.
