Salary: £20,000 - £24,000 per annum dependent on experience

Location: Bideford, Devon

The Company:

At Devonshire we are proud to be recognised as one of the UK’s leading independent furniture wholesalers. We are a family run business, established almost 30 years ago and operate from our 240,000 sq. ft. warehouse located in North Devon.

The Role:

This is an exciting opportunity for a creative and enthusiastic individual to join our Sales team. This role has a variety of responsibilities which include but are not limited to;

  • Work with the sales team to provide quotations to customers as required;
  • Direct communication with customers to follow up their enquiries over phone or email;
  • Ensure effective sales support strategy and tools are in place and maintained;
  • Assist in other office activities such as credit control when required.
  • Develop online products file and other sales projects;
  • Design, develop, implement and oversee marketing campaigns in line with overall commercial strategy (for both trade and retail store);
  • Provide general administrative support for Sales and Marketing;
  • Maintain an up-to-date supplier contact database;
  • Design and develop point of sale material such as brochures and advertisements;
  • Maintain the Company’s website and update with new products etc.

The Person:

The successful candidate will work on-site and be comfortable working alone or as part of a project team. They must be able to work closely with the Directors of the company, have excellent attention to detail, be well organised, self-disciplined and able to complete projects with limited supervision. They must also hold excellent communication skills and possesses the skill set to build relationships with ease.

Requirements:

It is essential that the candidate is PC literate, including software such as Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook. They must have some experience working in an office environment and be familiar with basic sales administration and marketing techniques.

Desirable but not essential attributes include experience in Sage 200 (or similar accounting packages), as well as experience using the Adobe Suite including InDesign, Illustrator and/or Photoshop. Experience in marketing design and digital analytics would be an advantage, including strategic marketing planning and brand marketing techniques, tools and platforms. Full training will be provided, and the company are open to developing the individual and their skills through external courses.
