Warehouse Operative – Day shift

Philip Dennis Foodservice is a well-established family business distributing Frozen, Chilled and Ambient goods, as well as Fresh Butchery and Fresh Fish products, to customers throughout Oxfordshire, the Midlands and the South West of England.
We’re seeking a professional and diligent Warehouse Operative to cover the day shift at our Witney depot. The accuracy of the day shift operations is critical to the smooth running of our wider business functioning and in maintaining our high levels of customer satisfaction. You will be part of a team that ensures all stock is receipted into the depot accurately and all stock replenishment is carried out each day. You’ll report any stock incidents and feedback on any concerns or issues to the relevant Supervisor, who will then identify improvements and take corrective action, as required.
Taking pride in your work, you’ll enjoy working as part of a team, adhering to all health & safety policies, maintaining a clean and orderly depot and reporting any unsafe acts or hazards to the Supervisor for the good of all employees.
With experience in a similar role, you’re experienced working within a team and in a warehouse setting. With strong communication skills, you’re a team player and are used to working with people at all levels. Calm under pressure, your strong organisation and time management skills allow you to be flexible and adaptable to change. You can be relied upon, and are happy working on your own initiative, whilst possessing a keen eye for detail, you are also passionate about customer service. Experience working in the foodservice industry and holding a forklift licence would be beneficial, whilst having a UK driving licence along with good numeracy, literacy and IT skills are essential.
